Job summary

Logistex is seeking a Shift Support Engineer to maintain automated material handling equipment and support day-to-day operations on site in the UK. You will troubleshoot, reset errors, support maintenance activities, and contribute to continuous improvement while working in a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, understanding of automation and control systems, and an engineering qualification.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience required.
• Understanding of automation and control systems.
• Engineering qualification such as NVQ, BTEC or City & Guilds.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work a shift pattern and standby cover.

Responsibilities

• Reset equipment errors caused by product, equipment, or operator issues.
• Support maintenance activities on automated equipment and systems.
• Follow escalation procedures and provide technical support when required.
• Support project and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain site tools and equipment and report any loss or damage.
• Carry out cleaning and hygiene tasks as required.
• Provide clear communication to site teams, management, and support functions.
