Job summary

Logistex is seeking an experienced Shift Support Engineer to help maintain reliability of automated material handling equipment within a fast-paced production environment.

You will troubleshoot equipment issues, support ongoing maintenance activities, and participate in continuous improvement and project work to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. A strong background in mechanical/electrical maintenance and automation is essential, with clear communication across site teams.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
• Understanding of automation and control systems.
• Engineering qualification such as NVQ, BTEC or City & Guilds.

Responsibilities

• Reset equipment errors caused by product, equipment, or operator issues.
• Support maintenance activities on automated equipment and systems.
• Follow escalation procedures and provide technical support when required.
• Support project and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain site tools and equipment and report any loss or damage.
• Carry out cleaning and hygiene tasks as required.
• Provide clear communication to site teams, management, and support functions.
