Dematic in the United Kingdom seeks a Technical Specialist to be the on-shift technical lead for a highly automated operation. You will diagnose PLC, electrical and network faults and lead root-cause investigations.

You’ll support maintenance, coach technicians, and work with SCADA, WCS and WMS systems. A relevant engineering qualification and strong fault-finding, communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong PLC fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
• Experience within automated, manufacturing, production or logistics environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership for technical guidance.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide technical leadership and guidance.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and root-cause analysis.

Responsabilités

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for automation, controls and system performance issues.
• Diagnose and resolve complex PLC, electrical, mechanical and network faults.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate fault management with customers and third-party support.
• Support planned maintenance and maintain technical standards on site.
• Drive continuous improvement to reliability, availability, and throughput.
• Support planned maintenance activities and ensure technical standards are maintained across the site.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve reliability, availability, performance and throughput.
• Support site performance by prioritising faults based on operational impact and business needs.
