Job summary

Cadent Gas Ltd. is seeking a SHES Advisor to support safe and sustainable delivery of Capital Delivery projects.

You will provide expert SHES guidance, ensure compliance with legislation and promote a proactive safety culture across operations. The role involves working with project teams, contractors and regulators, embedding best practices, assisting incident investigations and driving continuous improvement in SHES performance.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH certificate or diploma with 3–5 years SHES advisory experience.
• Understanding of CDM, GSMR, PSSR, ISO 14001 and other standards.
• Excellent communication, coaching and influencing abilities.
• Experience in incident reporting, risk assessment and performance analysis.
• Commitment to compliance and continuous improvement.

Champion safety, health, environment and sustainability across major infrastructure projects.

As a SHES Advisor at Cadent, you will play a vital role in supporting the safe and sustainable delivery of our Capital Delivery projects. You will provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment and Sustainability (SHES), ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting a proactive safety culture across our operations.

Working closely with project teams, contractors and regulatory bodies, you will help embed best practice, support incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement in SHES performance.

This is a hybrid role with flexibility, offering the opportunity to influence high-profile infrastructure projects and make a meaningful impact on the safety and wellbeing of our people and the environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma (or equivalent), with 3-5 years' experience in a SHES advisory role.
• Understanding of CDM, GSMR, PSSR, ISO 14001 and other relevant standards and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coach and influence others.
• Experience in incident reporting, risk assessment and performance analysis.
• Commitment to compliance, continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration.
