Job summary

Doocey Group is seeking a SHEQ Manager - Electric to oversee compliance across low voltage operations, ensuring safe and compliant works in line with company procedures and LRQA NERS accreditation standards.

The role involves conducting site audits, competency assessments, and compliance reviews of de-looping, cable installation, jointing, and related activities. A strong electrical background and experience in utility environments are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in SHEQ/compliance or operational assurance within utilities or electrical networks.
• Strong knowledge of low voltage works including cable installation and de-looping.
• Experience in LRQA NERS accredited environments and with NERS Scheme Rules.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead SHEQ inspections, audits and compliance assessments across low voltage operations.
• Monitor compliance with procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Ensure LRQA NERS accreditation standards and regulations are followed.
• Conduct site audits covering excavation, cable installation and jointing.
• Verify workforce competencies and training records against NERS requirements.
• Review risk assessments and work packs for compliance and readiness.
• Provide coaching to operational teams to improve safety and compliance.
• Identify unsafe acts/conditions and drive corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into incidents and service strikes, identifying root causes.
• Conduct safety observations to promote a positive safety culture.
• Produce audit reports and management information with trends and risks.
• Support management in closing audit findings and corrective actions.
• Assist with LRQA NERS audits and accreditation reviews.
