Job summary

Doocey Group is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager - Electric to oversee compliance across low voltage operations and drive a strong safety culture. You will conduct audits, coaching and investigations to maintain LRQA NERS accreditation and ensure adherence to industry standards.

The role requires a strong electrical background within utility or distribution networks, excellent stakeholder communication and robust documentation skills. A full UK driving licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in SHEQ, auditing or operational assurance within utilities or electrical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of low voltage electrical works including cable installation and de-looping.
• Experience in LRQA NERS accredited environments and understanding of NERS scheme rules.
• Excellent report-writing, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead SHEQ inspections, audits and compliance assessments across low voltage electrical operations.
• Monitor compliance with procedures, client requirements, risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
• Ensure compliance with LRQA NERS accreditation standards and Electricity at Work Regulations.
• Conduct site audits covering excavation, cable installation, jointing and service transfers.
• Verify workforce competencies, authorisations and training records for NERS compliance.
• Review risk assessments and work packs to ensure safety and readiness.
• Provide coaching to teams to improve safety performance and compliance.
• Lead investigations into incidents, near misses and non-conformances with root-cause analysis.
