Job summary

Danny Sullivan Group is seeking a SHEQ Advisor to support operational teams across civils and utilities projects in London and the South East.

You will manage site inspections, incident investigations, RAMS development and safe systems of work, while ensuring compliance with ISO standards and client requirements.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with progression opportunities within a growing business, and a strong emphasis on safety culture across projects.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is required.
• Experience in SHEQ/HSEQ within civils/utilities/infrastructure is essential.
• Strong communication and influencing skills are required.
• Full UK driving licence and NRSWA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide SHEQ support across civils and utilities projects (streetworks, reinstatement, infrastructure).
• Carry out site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, company procedures and client standards.
• Support site teams with RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
• Deliver toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders on SHEQ matters.
• Monitor performance and produce reports on KPIs and trends.

Overview

We're working with a civils and utilities contractor delivering works across London and the South East. They're looking for a SHEQ Advisor to support operational teams and ensure compliance across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide SHEQ support across civils and utilities projects (streetworks, reinstatement, infrastructure)
• Carry out site inspections, audits and incident investigations
• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, company procedures and client standards
• Support site teams with RAMS, permits and safe systems of work
• Deliver toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders on SHEQ matters
• Monitor performance and produce reports on KPIs and trends

Requirements

• Experience in SHEQ / HSEQ role within civils, utilities or infrastructure
• Good knowledge of streetworks, utilities or highways environments
• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence site teams
• Full UK driving licence
• NRSWA / Streetworks knowledge
• Experience working on frameworks or for Tier 1 contractors
• ISO standards awareness (9001, 14001, 45001)
