Job summary

Netbox Recruitment is seeking a SHEQ Manager to lead Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality processes in Maidstone. You will promote a positive safety culture, maintain ISO systems, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

Responsibilities include audits, RAMS, site visits, incident investigations and training delivery. A NEBOSH certificate and UK driving licence are essential; IOSH is desirable. This is a full-time role with a car allowance and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate is essential.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Knowledge of UK SHEQ legislation and best practice.
• Experience producing RAMS.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication.
• Full UK driving licence.
• IOSH membership desirable.

• Produce and review RAMS.
• Deliver SHEQ training, toolbox talks and guidance to employees.
• Maintain accurate SHEQ documentation and reports.
• Promote a proactive and positive health and safety culture across the business.

Salary: Up to £50,000 plus Car Allowance

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join a growing and well-established business operating within the utilities and engineering sector. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about promoting a positive safety culture while ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards across the business. You will support the implementation and continuous improvement of SHEQ policies, procedures and management systems, working closely with teams across the organisation and carrying out site visits where required.

The Role

• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with UK legislation, industry standards and company policies.
• Conducting site visits, audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Assisting with accident and incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Supporting environmental management initiatives and sustainability objectives.
• Maintaining ISO management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Producing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Delivering SHEQ training, toolbox talks and guidance to employees.
• Maintaining accurate SHEQ documentation and reports.
• Promoting a proactive and positive health and safety culture across the business.

What We're Looking For

• NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
• Previous experience within a SHEQ role, ideally within utilities, engineering or construction.
• Experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Knowledge of UK SHEQ legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience producing and reviewing RAMS.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to carry out audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SHEQ management systems.
• A full UK driving licence.
• IOSH membership (desirable).
