Job summary

Evapco is hiring a Sheet Metal Operator for the night shift in Taneytown, MD. The role involves basic sheet metal machine operations, reading production orders, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

You will participate in problem solving, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement, with a 10-hour shift pattern Monday-Thursday. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50 lbs with assistance.

Qualifications

• Basic sheet metal operations, including cutting, breaking, and sorting parts.
• Participate in team and shop problem solving activities focusing on quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements.
• Meet or exceed safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targets.
• Attend training courses as directed by management.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to policies and safety rules.
• Maintain a safe work environment and positive attitude.
• Understand and use tape measures within 1/32".
• Read Production Orders and shop drawings.
• Familiar with common hand and power tools.

Job Qualifications

• Basic Sheet Metal machine operations; cutting, breaking, and sorting of parts
• Participate in team and shop business problem solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements
• Meet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targets
• Attend training courses as directed by management
• May perform other duties, as assigned
• Willingness to learn
• Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as insuring a safe work environment is maintained
• Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude
• Strive to continually improve quality, safety, 5-S, and productivity within your areas of responsibility
• Understanding and proper use of tape measure within 1/32”
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)

Pay Range: $51,692.16 - $75,254.40 per year
