Job summary

Evapco is seeking a Sheet Metal Operator for the Day Shift in Taneytown, MD. You will operate basic sheet metal equipment, read drawings, and participate in team problem solving to improve quality, safety, and efficiency.

The role requires adherence to safety rules, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday. Prior experience with hand tools and measurement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic Sheet Metal machine operations; cutting, breaking, and sorting of parts.
• Participate in team and shop business problem solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements.
• Meet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targets.
• Attend training courses as directed by management.
• May perform other duties, as assigned.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as insuring a safe work environment is maintained.
• Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude.
• Strive to continually improve quality, safety, 5-S, and productivity within your areas of responsibility.
• Understanding and proper use of tape measure within 1/32”
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
• Must be able to read Production Orders & understand shop drawings
• Familiar with common hand and power tools

Pay Range: $46,700.00 - $70,262.40 per year
