Job summary

Evapco in the United Kingdom is seeking an entry-level Night Shift Glue Room Line Operator. The role involves stacking sheets for gluing and occasional feeding into the glue machine to produce first-quality finished packs per customer needs.

You will work on a night shift, adhere to safety procedures, and support continuous improvements in quality and efficiency while collaborating with team members.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participate in team problem solving for quality, safety, scrap reduction and process improvements.
• Know which machine runs specific styles and products.
• Stack sheets as part of a team line to produce complete packs; may feed sheets into the glue machine.
• Help clean and set up machines.
• Lay up product styles and feed machines.
• Detect and fix pack issues.
• Perform housekeeping and 5S duties as assigned.
• Meet safety, quality and efficiency guidelines and follow all instructions.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Night Shift Glue Room Line Operator - Entry Level

Job Summary:

Typically required to stack sheets for gluing but sometimes will be required to feed sheets as well on occasion. Produce a first quality finished pack per customer requirements. Daily machine schedule is dictated by leader.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
• Use, read and comprehend a tape measure down to 1/32\" is required
• Be able to be flexible with their work schedule
• Be a self-starter
• Basic nomenclature and practical use of some hand tools
• Basic understanding of different product types and quality specifications of each
• Good attitude, good attendance and ability to work with others
• Must know and comply with all safety procedures dealing with the equipment

Essential Functions:

• Participate in team and shop problem solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction and process improvements.
• Know which machine will run specific styles and products
• Stack sheets as part of a team line to produce complete packs; on occasion will be required to feed sheets into the glue machine as well.
• Help clean and setup up machines
• Know how to lay up all product styles and feed machines
• Know how detect and fix a pack issue
• Perform housekeeping and 5S duties as assigned
• Meet or exceed safety, quality and efficiency guidelines as expected
• Follow all related written and oral work instructions
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Typical Working Conditions:

• Indoor, manufacturing setting
  • Working temperatures throughout the year range on average from mid-90s to mid-50s
  • The wearing of steel toed shoes, hearing protection and eye protection is required
• Work area includes movement of forklifts and movement of Glue Machines and glue carts
• Shift work, days or nights, Monday through Thursday, and some Friday's and Saturday's

• Some hand tools for setting up and adjusting machines
• Basic hand tools and measuring devices (tape measure for example)
