Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator in Dartford to support the manufacturing, assembling and finishing of metalwork components. The role requires reading technical drawings, operating fabrication machinery, and performing MIG/TIG welding.

You will fabricate with steel, stainless steel and aluminium, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The position is based on-site with regular hours Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Skilled in using fabrication machinery and hand tools.
• MIG and TIG welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate sheet metal components from drawings and specifications.
• Cut, bend, shape and assemble materials using hand tools and machinery.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes.
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Work with steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Salary: up to £18.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Friday!

The role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator to support with the manufacturing, assembling and finishing of metalwork components, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

• Fabricate sheet metal components from technical drawings and specifications.
• Cut, bend, shape and assemble materials using hand tools and machinery.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes.
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Work with a variety of metals including steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
