Job summary

KHR - Recruitment Specialists seeks an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join a busy precision manufacturing operation in Headcorn. You will bend, form and finish sheet metal components to tight drawings while meeting quality and delivery targets.

In a modern workshop, you’ll read engineering drawings, deburr, drill and spot weld as required, with adherence to ISO 9001 standards. Competitive pay and clear career progression are on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience with fine limit sheet metal.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Bending, forming, fabricating and finishing sheet metal components.
• Manufacturing parts to customer specifications and engineering drawings.
• Deburring, drilling and assembling fabricated components.
• Carrying out spot welding on bespoke products when required.
• Ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and production deadlines.
• Working safely and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.

Sheet Metal Fabricator

Location: Headcorn, Kent

Salary: £28,000 to £38,000 plus bonus and overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday 0800 to 1700, Permanent

The Role

• Bending, forming, fabricating and finishing sheet metal components.

About You

• Proven experience working with fine limit sheet metal.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with deburring, drilling and spot welding.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• A keen eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
• LVD CNC Press Brake
• Power-assisted rollers
• Power guillotines
• TIG welding
