Job summary

New Appointments Group Ltd is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator in the Dartford area to support manufacturing, assembly and finishing of metalwork components. You will fabricate from drawings, operate press brakes and welding equipment, and ensure products meet safety and quality standards.

The role offers 20 days annual leave (rising to 25) plus bank holidays, overtime paid at x1.5, and a company pension.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Skilled in the use of fabrication machinery and hand tools.
• MIG/TIG welding experience.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate sheet metal components from drawings and specs.
• Cut, bend, shape and assemble materials using tools and machinery.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes.
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Work with steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Hours: Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Friday!

Our client is a well-established specialist in bespoke metal fabrication, delivering high-quality metalwork solutions across a range of sectors.

The role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator to support with the manufacturing, assembling and finishing of metalwork components, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

• 20 days annual leave (increasing to 25 days) + bank holidays
• OT paid at x1.5

Key responsibilities would be:

• Fabricate sheet metal components from technical drawings and specifications.
• Cut, bend, shape and assemble materials using hand tools and machinery.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes.
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Work with a variety of metals including steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Experience and skills required:

• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Skilled in the use of fabrication machinery and hand tools
