Job summary

Howdens is seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Business Partner for our Raunds site in Northamptonshire. You will shape the site SHE strategy, influence senior leaders and drive a culture of safety across operations.

You will lead inspections, risk assessments and training programmes, ensuring ISO 45001/14001 compliance and continuous improvement. A full UK driving licence and NEBOSH General Certificate are required.

Qualifications

This role requires 3–5 years’ SHE experience in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate will hold NEBOSH General Certificate and an Environmental Mgmt qualification.
Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems is essential.

Responsibilities

Deliver expert SHE guidance to leaders and site teams; drive continuous improvement.
Lead inspections, audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
Support development of the site SHE strategy and objectives.
Design and deliver engaging SHE training and awareness programmes.
Monitor performance against key SHE metrics and regulatory standards.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions with stakeholders.
Maintain relationships with regulators and external stakeholders.
Support occupational health and hygiene monitoring activities.
