Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental Officer to join our client’s high-hazard manufacturing site in the United Kingdom. You will support the development and implementation of SHE strategies, policies, and procedures that align with UK legislation and organisational standards.

You will provide practical SHE advice, conduct audits and inspections, support incident investigations and help promote a positive safety culture.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in SHE/Health & Safety in manufacturing or high-hazard environments.
• Solid understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
• Experience conducting audits and inspections.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support development of strategic Safety, Health & Environmental plans.
• Develop and implement SHE policies and procedures in line with UK legislation and organisational standards.
• Conduct audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate SHE incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommendations for corrective action.
• Monitor and analyse SHE performance metrics and prepare reports for management.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and support drills.
