Job summary

Farrans in Livingston, UK is seeking a SHE Manager for Scotland to lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across regional projects, collaborating with project teams and clients to uphold safety standards.

You will audit practices, support incident investigations, and deliver training while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners across energy, transport and water sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Construction H&S environment.
• Strong MS Office proficiency and familiarity with project portals such as Aconex.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and construction management best practice.
• Experience implementing SHEQ management standards and processes.
• Full manual driving license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion SHE matters for the Scotland Region, engaging and collaborating with project and client teams.
• Promote and uphold the ethos that health, safety and wellbeing is paramount.
• Assisting in compiling project plans e.g. Construction Phase Plan.
• Develop effective working relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance SHE performance.
• Conduct regular audits of site SHE practices and documentation and provide feedback to site management.
• Support incident investigations and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Provide SHE advice during project mobilization and execution phases.
• Deliver SHE-related training and mentoring to staff and supply chain partners.
• Prepare and deliver timely reports and performance data. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes.
• Foster professional relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers to secure engagement and understanding of SHE expectations.
• Attend and represent Farrans at industry events as required

Education

Degree in engineering/construction/SHE

NEBOSH Certificate
