Job summary

RG Setsquare in Scotland is seeking a Senior SHE Manager to promote and maintain a positive Safety, Health & Environmental culture across projects throughout Scotland. You will provide specialist advice on legislation, ISO standards and site practices, travelling regularly across Scotland.

The role offers flexible/hybrid working where applicable, with a salary of £55,000-£65,000 plus benefits. Reporting to the Senior SHE Manager, you will lead, coach and develop project teams to ensure compliant

Qualifications

• Tech IOSH status or be working towards it.
• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
• Experience within substation, HV/LV, energy or electrical engineering environment.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Strong knowledge of current SHE legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Scotland and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SHE advice to operational teams, managers, employees and subcontractors.
• Develop, implement and maintain SHE standards across projects where the business operates as Principal Contractor or contractor.
• Ensure compliance with current health & safety legislation, company policies and procedures.
• Support accident and incident investigations, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Promote lessons learned and continuous improvement across the wider business.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Provide guidance on areas including fire safety, hazardous substances, work at height, noise, HAVS and occupational health.
