Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced technical leader to drive the Hertfordshire and West Essex Shared Patient Record. You will oversee day-to-day operation, optimisation and development, acting as the technical SME for interoperability and data sharing across NHS partners.

You will guide system enhancements, testing, supplier engagement and incident resolution, working across clinical, operational and governance teams.

Qualifications

Degree or demonstrable experience in digital health, interoperability or related technical fields.
Continuing professional development in healthcare informatics and interoperability.
Experience delivering technical solutions in NHS or similarly complex health environments.

Responsibilities

Lead design, configuration, testing and implementation of system enhancements and data sharing.
Act as SME for interoperability architecture, data flows, APIs, FHIR, HL7 and GP Connect.
Investigate and resolve complex technical incidents, outages and data-quality issues.
Coordinate testing, releases, upgrades and change assurance to maintain continuity.
Manage supplier relationships including Oracle Health Cerner and onboarding of partners.
