Job summary

Durham County Council seeks a Registered Manager for Shared Lives to lead and grow the service, ensuring high-quality care and progression toward an Outstanding rating. You will oversee day-to-day operations and develop the provider network to deliver safe, effective support.

You will work with the CDC&S Development Officer and commissioning leads to raise awareness locally and regionally, drive service growth, and uphold safeguarding and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified social care/management qualifications required (DipSW/CQSW/CSS/NVQ 4 Care).
• Knowledge of Care Act, MCA, Safeguarding, H&S and CQC standards.
• Experience leading Shared Lives or adult social care teams.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and drive service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Shared Lives service to maintain high-quality care.
• Provide leadership to Support Managers, Monitoring Support and Providers.
• Promote rights and wishes of individuals in care.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the service.
• Drive recruitment and development of Shared Lives Providers.
