Job summary

CareTech is seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker for Fairfield home, supporting young people aged 10–16 with daily routines and activities. You will help prepare for school, meals, and planned activities, building trust and providing emotional support in a warm, homely setting.

New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system; training will be provided. A Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential is encouraged, and a UK driving licence is essential for

Qualifications

• Previous experience is preferred or you may have cared for a friend or family member.
• Willingness to pursue a Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines, getting ready for school and meals.
• Provide emotional support and build trusting relationships.
• Update care plans and provide timely updates to senior staff.
• Join in activities and help with light housekeeping to maintain a homely environment.
