Oxford University Hospitals is seeking a motivated Band 6 Lead Nurse / Nurse Practitioner to join their Oxfordshire sexual health team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated nurse to join the Oxfordshire sexual health team. We are looking for a Band 6 Lead Nurse / Nurse Practitioner with experience in both GUM and contraception. You will require relevant post-qualification experience in both areas, including a Letter of Competence in Implant and ideally coils, STIF competency or equivalent. Additionally, a non-medical prescribing qualification or willingness to undertake this qualification is essential.
Oxfordshire Sexual Health Service is a large, busy organization offering comprehensive STI management and contraception services at various outpatient locations across the county. Our main base is at Churchill Hospital in Oxford, with additional clinics in Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, Didcot, Wantage, and Witney.
You will be expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing STI testing and contraceptive services to clients of all ages and backgrounds.
Please note that prior experience managing both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients in GUM and contraception is essential.
A flexible approach to work patterns is required. The ability to commute to multiple locations is essential; therefore, a valid UK driving license and access to a car are necessary.
