Job summary

Mountain Healthcare in Gateshead is seeking an Adult & Paediatric Crisis Worker for the Northumbria SARC. This Bank role supports victims of sexual assault, acting as advocate and helping manage forensic pathways with compassion and professionalism.

You will be the first point of contact, assist with preparing patients, collecting forensic evidence, and liaising with partners to ensure a smooth service user journey within the centre.

Qualifications

• IT skills and basic administration.
• Experience in a supportive or customer-focused environment.
• Kind, caring nature.
• Knowledge of confidentiality.
• UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting required.

Responsibilities

• 1st point of contact for service users.
• Support service users and their families visiting the centre and assist in collecting forensic evidence.
• Ensure high standard of DNA anticontamination between cases (cleaning).
• Liaise with other agencies regarding the service user pathway.
• Assist with preparation and advocacy during the service user's time at the SARC.
• Be a key player within the SARC team and wider Mountain Healthcare network.
