Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Cheam. You will support pupils with severe SEND, focusing on communication, learning, and independence in a safe, nurturing setting.

The role involves one-to-one and small group support for pupils with PMLD, SLD, Autism, and related needs, working alongside teachers and therapists to deliver high-quality care and education.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with severe special educational needs and disabilities.
• Patient, caring and resilient.
• Understanding of complex learning needs and sensory support strategies.
• Confident supporting pupils with communication difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties.
• Support students with needs including PMLD, SLD, Autism, physical disabilities, and complex medical needs.
• Assist with sensory learning activities and personalised education programmes.
• Support pupils with personal care where required.
• Encourage independence, communication, and social development.
• Work alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver exceptional care and educational support.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
