Prospero Teaching are seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Severe Learning Disabilities in Knowle, Solihull. You will provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support, help pupils access learning and develop communication and independence in a safe environment.

The role involves working closely with teachers and SENCO, following individual plans, promoting inclusion and safeguarding, and participating in training to support pupils' development.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with children or young people with SEND is desirable.
• Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and contribute to pupils' development.

Aufgaben

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with severe learning difficulties.
• Support learning, communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities where needed, maintaining dignity.
• Support pupils with sensory or complex needs following individual plans.
• Work with teachers, the SENCO, healthcare professionals and support staff.
