Job summary

Changing Lives is recruiting for a Sessional Project Worker to support seven young people’s services in Gateshead. The role involves flexible, responsive casework and ensuring continuity of service during staff absences, with accommodation across mixed gender settings.

You will assist young people aged 16-25 with planning, safeguarding, risk assessment, referrals and housing management to promote stability and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with young people aged 16-25.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and referrals.
• Experience supporting housing management and accommodation services.

About the Job

We are looking for sessionals to work at our young peoples services across Tyneside and Teesside, due to the nature of the shifts and distance, being able to drive would be beneficial.

As an individual who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for young people, you will have experience of direct work with young people (16-25 years) including support planning, safeguarding, risk assessment, referral processes and housing management.

As a Sessional Project Worker will provide flexible, responsive support across seven young people’s supported accommodation services, ensuring continuity of service delivery during periods of annual leave, sickness, vacancies, training, and other staffing pressures.

Working across mixed gender, male and female accommodation services, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred support to young people with a range of low to medium support needs, helping them to maintain their accommodation, improve wellbeing, and achieve greater independence.
