A leading Canadian university is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for the LMP2330Y Capstone Project in Translational Research Program. This course is the core of the MHSc in Translational Research Program. Students, organized in small groups of 2-5 students, will identify and define a major project proposal in translational research. This project proposal will consist of an extensive outline, project plan and timeline for completion with milestones. Each group will also have an advisory committee with sufficient expertise to guide and advise the group. This project proposal will be carried out in LMP2330Y. Each group will be required to meet once a week to chart progress and plan upcoming tasks. The group will also be expected to consult formally with their committee once a month. All groups will meet as a class once a month to report progress to the course coordinators and other class members.
Estimated course enrollment: ~ 30 students

Class schedule: 2-hour seminar-style workshops; occurring Thursdays (between 4:00PM - 6:00PM)
Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026

Masters degree with equivalent professional experience.
Background in Health Sciences, with demonstrated understanding of translational research and healthcare innovation. Five years of experience in start-ups, needs identification and co-design methodologies for intervention development, with a focus on user-centered design and stakeholder engagement.
Preparation and delivery of course content, including lectures and/or seminars as a co-instructor for the course; creation and development of courseware and instructional materials; co-supervision and guidance to student groups throughout the academic year; maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours to provide academic support and mentorship; active participation in course planning and coordination with other instructors and teaching staff to ensure consistency and quality of instruction.
