Job summary

Mills CNC, exclusive distributor for DN Solutions and Zayer in the UK and Ireland, is seeking a field-based service engineer. You will maintain DN Solutions machines and others, diagnose faults, and build strong client relationships.

Travel across the UK and Ireland is required; a company vehicle is provided along with a comprehensive benefits scheme including life assurance and Vitality health insurance. 25 days of annual leave are included.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with recognised apprenticeship.
• Driving license with up to 3 points and willingness to travel.
• Effective communicator.
• Proactive attitude for on-site issue resolution.
• Knowledge of CNC turning and milling machine tools.
• CNC control experience with Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance of DN Solutions machines and others per internal standards.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs where appropriate.
• Foster strong professional relationships with Mills CNC clients.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and procedures.

We have an exciting opportunity for the right engineer to join our expanding department and help Mills maintain our position as the leading service providers in the industry.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out scheduled maintenance of the DN Solutions Machines and others in accordance with our internal servicing standards
• Diagnosing faults and making repairs where appropriate
• Fostering strong professional relationships with all Mills CNC clients
• Ensuring strict compliance with our internal health and safety protocols and procedures.
• Sharing information within Mills in line with our Quality Processes.

Who we’re looking for:

• A qualified engineer with recognised apprenticeship
• A driving license with no more than 3 points and willingness to travel. We aim to schedule work within 2 hours of the engineer's home address, however, the successful candidate may also be asked to attend customer sites throughout UK and Ireland when required.
• A professional and effective communicator
• A strong proactive attitude and approach to resolving issues on site.
• Knowledge of CNC turning and milling machine tools
• Experience in CNC Machine Tool maintenance (desirable)
• CNC control experience on Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain control (desirable)
