Job summary

Mills CNC Ltd. is seeking a CNC Trainer to join our Leamington Spa Training Academy, delivering operator and programming courses to customers at Mills site and on customer premises.

The role involves training across Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain controls, course preparation, and keeping manuals up-to-date. Travel to UK and Ireland customer sites is expected, and a driving license with minimal points is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Fanuc CNC Control is essential.
• Experience setting and operating CNC Lathes and Machining Centres is essential.
• Knowledge of Siemens and Heidenhain CNC Controls is desirable.
• CAD-CAM systems knowledge is desirable.
• Training experience or demonstrated communication skills are important.
• A driving license with no more than 3 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering CNC programmer training courses on systems such as Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain.
• Teaching operation and setting of machine tools sold by Mills CNC.
• Course preparation, including manuals, machines and tools.
• Keeping manual content accurate and current.
• Staying up-to-date with Mills CNC's machine range and training new controls.
• Travel to customer sites within UK and Ireland for onsite or bespoke training.

Role Overview

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering CNC programmer training courses on various systems including Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain.
  
• Teaching students the operation & setting of the various types of machine tools as sold by Mills CNC.
• Course preparation, including getting manuals, machines and tools ready in advance of courses.
• Ensuring manual content remains accurate and current.
  
• Keeping up-to-date with the machine range on offer from Mills CNC and attending training when new control systems and machines are announced.
• Travel to customer sites within UK and Ireland for onsite or bespoke training courses.

Someone living within commuting distance of Mills CNC Training Academy, Leamington Spa.

Essential Skills or Qualifications

Knowledge of Fanuc CNC Control (essential)

Experience of Setting and Operating CNC Lathes and Machining Centres (essential)

Knowledge of Siemens and Heidenhain CNC Controls (strongly desirable)

Knowledge of CAD-CAM systems (desirable)

Training experience or demonstrated competence in communication skills

A driving license with no more than 3 points
