Job Role:
Perform inspection, servicing, repairs, and testing of vehicles professionally and safely, adhering to manufacturer standards and timeframes, ensuring an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose vehicle faults and interpret repair instructions and technical information.
- Plan work and order parts to ensure prompt vehicle readiness.
- Perform servicing and repairs according to manufacturer standards, using appropriate protection and resources.
- Coordinate any specialized work with the Workshop Supervisor/Controller.
- Accurately document faults and work performed for service records.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including the use of protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow warranty procedures and record work accurately.
- Assist and supervise apprentices as needed, ensuring quality checks before release.
- Return exchanged parts to the Parts department.
- Carry out MOT testing and complete all required documentation.
- Recover damaged vehicles as instructed.
Work Pattern:
This is a full-time position:
- Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30
- Saturdays on a 1-in-3 rota, 08:00 – 13:00
Candidate Requirements:
- Full UK driving license with no major endorsements.
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent experience.
- Experience with premium brands is essential.
- MOT Testing Certificate is advantageous.
