Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is representing a growing MOT centre in Welwyn Garden City seeking an experienced MOT Technician. The role is permanent and full-time, with a strong salary package and opportunities for bonus and overtime.

Must hold a valid MOT Licence and a full UK driving licence. Typical hours are 8:30am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 2 Saturdays, and excellent training and career development benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 automotive qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Several years of experience as a skilled mechanic on relevant vehicle repairs.
• DVSA MOT Licence / Level 2 Award in MOT.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing in line with DVSA requirements and centre procedures.
• Complete mechanical repairs, servicing and fast-fit work including tyres, brakes, exhausts and suspension components.
• Use wheel alignment equipment, interpret results and adjust as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and to a high standard with a clean, professional work area.
