Job summary

Waylands Automotive Limited in Oxford is seeking an experienced Technician & MOT Tester to join our brand-new Kia dealership. You will service and repair customer vehicles, using diagnostic equipment, and strive for right-first-time work. Time-served with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and a full UK driving licence are essential; main dealer experience is preferred but full training will be provided. Mon-Fri with Saturdays on rotation.

Qualifications

• Must be time-served with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• MOT testing experience desirable; main dealer experience preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair customer vehicles and carry out MOT testing where applicable.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and ensure right-first-time work.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to deliver high-quality service.

Waylands is a successful and growing motor retail group, with 15 representation points across the Thames Valley and the M4 corridor, extending into South Wales.

We are looking for an experienced Technician & MOT Tester to work alongside our existing dedicated team at our brand-new Kia dealership in Oxford. The successful candidate will be time served and hold NVQ or equivalent qualifications to Level 3.

What’s the role?

Although this is predominantly not a diagnostic role, you must be able to use current diagnostic equipment, have a proven track record in delivering 'right first time' work and have good communication skills.

In this role you will work towards productivity and efficiency targets, and repair and service customer vehicles. Main dealer experience would be preferred; however full training will be given. A full driving licence is essential.
