Job summary

Kardex Germany is seeking a field service engineer for on-site assignments in the UK. You will perform electrical and mechanical repairs, carry out maintenance tasks, and conduct safety checks on installed systems.

You will fault-find efficiently and provide practical solutions while supporting customers with on-site training and guidance. The role requires independent work, strong customer focus, and a valid Category B driving licence.

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training in electronics or electrical installation.
• Experience in field service and comfort with heights up to 7 metres.
• Strong customer orientation and independent, solution-focused approach.
• Category B driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on installed systems.
• Carry out safety checks and service tasks in the field.
• Identify faults quickly and implement practical solutions.

Job description

Your tasks

• In your home region you are the go-to service expert for our customers.
• You will carry out electrical and mechanical repairs, maintenance work, safety checks and all other service tasks on our installed systems.
• You have a keen instinct for identifying faults quickly and finding practical, effective solutions.
• Working at heights of up to 7 metres is sometimes required, and you handle this confidently and calmly.
• As a friendly, solution-oriented contact person, you are always there for our customers.
• You advise customers on recommended service work and support them with on-site training and instruction.

Your profile

• Completed technical vocational training, for example as: Industrial electrician Electrician Mechatronics technician Electrical installer Electronics technician Certified electrical specialist ...or similar - as long as you can read electrical schematics and safely work with up to 1000 volts.
• Ideally, you already have experience in field service and are comfortable working at heights. Up to 7 metres is no issue for you.
• Strong commitment and excellent customer orientation come naturally to you.
• You are used to working independently and solution-focused.
• A Category B driving licence is required.
