Role Overview

We are recruiting a Service Technician-Escalators for Night Shifts in Northfleet, working on a 4 on, 4 off schedule between 07:00 & 19:00. Your responsibilities include performing planned preventative maintenance, safety inspections, minor repairs, lifecycle replacements, and adhering to safety procedures. You will also be part of an 'on call' rota for out-of-hours support.

Responsibilities

1. Perform routine servicing, minor repairs, and component replacements on escalator equipment as per company procedures.
2. Diagnose and rectify faults, ensuring equipment functions correctly.
3. Conduct inspections and adjustments, document all work accurately.
4. Utilize technical manuals and test equipment for fault finding and diagnostics.
5. Follow occupational health, safety, and environmental policies, and participate in training.
6. Support safety and quality policies, contribute to safety objectives.

Candidate Requirements

1. Proven experience in escalator servicing/maintenance preferred.
2. NVQ Level 3 or higher in Escalator Maintenance.
3. Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.
4. Proactive, able to prioritize, and meet deadlines.
5. Good problem-solving and communication skills.
6. Full UK driving license (note: walking routes may not require this).
