Job summary

Stagecoach Perth is seeking a hands-on Bus Service Engineer to maintain our modern, low-emission fleet at the Perth depot. You will diagnose faults, service vehicles and carry out roadside repairs, keeping buses safe, reliable and ready to serve the community.

The role offers full training, a competitive hourly rate, 34 days leave per year and travel benefits for you and a companion. A UK driving licence and a proactive, safety-first mindset are essential for delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, preferably buses/coaches.
• Confident using diagnostic tools and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and servicing buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools.
• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs.
• Reporting defects and completing all work safely and in line with policies.
• Collaborating with workshop colleagues and supporting junior team members.
