Job summary

Stagecoach Perth Depot is seeking a Semi-Skilled Mechanic / Service Engineer to maintain and repair buses at the Perth site. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools and perform preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs.

Qualifications

Salary £15.67ph Semi-Skilled Mechanic / Service Engineer Based At our Perth depot Pay rate of £15.67 per hour Shift pattern Sunday - Thursday, 45hrs per week 34 days annual leave per annum Free bus travel for you and a companion

What you’ll be doing

• Maintaining and servicing buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs
• Reporting defects and completing all work safely and in line with policies
• Collaborating with workshop colleagues and supporting junior team members

What we’re looking for

• Previous hands‑on experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, ideally in a bus, coach, truck, or HGV environment although we are open to different backgrounds
• Confident using diagnostic tools and service manuals
• A proactive, safety‑first approach
• A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• A full UK driving licence
