Job summary

Micheldever Group is seeking a skilled automotive technician to join Protyre Autocare in Mold, Wales. The role involves carrying out various mechanical repairs including fast-fit tyre fitting and MOT repairs while ensuring safety and compliance with company procedures.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification and experience with diagnostic equipment. Join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of the UK's fastest growing supplier and fitter of tyres and automotive services.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical and fast‑fit repairs including brakes, exhausts, and general servicing.
• Ability to work in a busy team and fast-paced environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work on vehicles is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Complete fast fit tyre fitting and adjust alignment readings.
• Carry out MOT repairs and adhere to inspection processes.
• Advise on vehicle issues and provide repair timelines.

About the role

• Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard
• Complete fast fit tyre fitting while using an alignment machine and adjusting readings accordingly
• Fit brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical components
• Carry out MOT repairs
• Adhere to company procedures for vehicle inspection processes
• Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing and repairs are thorough and of highest quality
• Advise on common vehicle issues and provide timelines for future repairs
• Work safely and comply with health & safety regulations

About you

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in the automotive industry
• Experience with mechanical and fast‑fit repairs, including tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing on a wide range of vehicles
• Ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast‑paced dynamic environment
• Experience with diagnostic equipment
• Full UK Driving Licence
