Job summary

Protyre Autocare in the UK is seeking a Service Technician to join our growing team. You will perform servicing and repairs using modern diagnostic equipment, focusing on quality and safety.

The role requires a Level 3 automotive qualification, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work quickly within a busy, customer-facing environment. We offer training, progression, and a range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (held for at least 6 months)
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent automotive qualification
• Experience with mechanical and fast fit repairs and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work as part of a busy team

Responsibilities

• Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard
• Carrying out fast fit tyre fitting with alignment machine use and readings understood
• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical items
• Carrying out MOT repairs
• Adherence to company vehicle inspection procedures
• Use diagnostic equipment to ensure thorough diagnostics, testing and repairs
• Advise on issues vehicles display and future repair needs
• Work in a safe manner and comply with health and safety regulations

Education

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent automotive qualification

About the role

• Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard
• Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments
• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical products
• Carrying out MOT repairs
• Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process
• Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality
• Advise on other issues vehicles display, including common issues vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs
• Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations

About you

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry
• Experienced with mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing repairs to a wide range of vehicles
• The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Experience with diagnostic equipment
• Full UK Driving Licence
