Job summary

A leading automotive services provider in Exeter is seeking an enthusiastic Service Technician to join the team. This role involves ensuring high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs using advanced diagnostic tools. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 in Automotive or equivalent experience, a current UK Driving Licence, and skills in mechanical repairs. Qualifications

• Must have a full current UK Driving Licence held for at least 6 months.
• Experience with fast fit repairs like tyres, brakes, and exhausts is required.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and safe working practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Use diagnostic technology to identify and address vehicle issues.
• Carry out MOT repairs and provide maintenance on various vehicle types.
• Perform MOT repairs.
• Follow the vehicle inspection process and safety regulations.
• Use diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing and repairs are thorough and of high quality.
• Advise on issues vehicles display and timelines for future repairs.
• Work safely and comply with health & safety regulations.

About the role:

• Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard.
• Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments.
• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical products.
• Carrying out MOT repairs.
• Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process.
• Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality.
• Advise on other issues vehicles display, including common issues vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs.
• Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations.

About you:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry.
• Experienced with mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing repairs to a wide range of vehicles.
• The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
