Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking a Service Technician in Egham to work Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm with a paid 30-minute break and a 30-minute unpaid break. This temp role offers potential temp-to-perm for the right candidate, with a starting salary of £28,000 upwards (DOE).

Role involves quoting services, servicing and calibrating test and measurement equipment, assisting with repairs, stock control, and general housekeeping.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths or equivalent.
• IT skills required.
• Experience with test and measurement equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Quoting services and completing service/calibration and repairs promptly.
• Quote and assess portable gas analysers and other equipment for servicing.
• Assist service, calibration and repairs as required.
• Help with stock control to ensure consumables and spare parts are available.
• Maintain clean and orderly service areas.
• Carry out ad-hoc duties as required.
• Demonstrate fault-finding and problem-solving using initiative.

Role: Service Technician

Contract: Temp on going – Potential Temp – Perm for the right candidate

We are working with our client who supplies, services, and calibrates test and measurement equipment across a wide range of industries. Their customers operate within sectors including power, plumbing and heating, water utilities, marine, coffee machine manufacturing, and dentistry. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for two new Service Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Quoting services that are coming in, once given the go ahead completing the service/calibration and repair if required in a timely and professional manner.
• Quote and assess portable gas analysers along with other test and measurement equipment that is coming in for service and repairs.
• Assisting the service, calibration and any other repairs that are required to equipment
• Assisting with stock control, ensuring that all consumables and spare equipment is available to carry out servicing and repairs.
• General housekeeping duties to keep the service areas clean and tidy
• Other ad-hoc duties as and when required
• Ability to problem solve/fault find, using own initiative and communicate effectively.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within a test and measurement equipment role or working within electronics.
• Confident using SAGE and other systems.
• Experience working towards deadlines

Essential Qualifications/Experience

• G.C.S.E English & Maths or equivalent
