Job summary

Pertemps Heathrow in Egham is seeking a Service Technician for a temp-on-going position with potential permanent for the right candidate. The salary starts at £28,000 and progresses with experience.

Working hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute paid break and a 30 minute unpaid break. The role involves quoting, servicing, calibration, and repair of test and measurement equipment across various industries.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths or equivalent.
• IT skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Quote services and complete service/calibration/repair work in a timely and professional manner.
• Quote and assess portable gas analysers and other test equipment for servicing and repairs.
• Assist with service, calibration and repairs of equipment as required.
• Assist with stock control and ensure consumables and spare parts are available for servicing and repairs.
• Keep service areas clean and tidy; perform general housekeeping.
• Carry out other ad-hoc duties as required.
• Problem-solve and fault-find using personal initiative and effective communication.

Role: Service Technician

Location: Egham

Contract: Temp on going - Potential Temp - Perm for the right candidate

We are working with our client who supplies, services, and calibrates test and measurement equipment across a wide range of industries. Their customers operate within sectors including power, plumbing and heating, water utilities, marine, coffee machine manufacturing, and dentistry. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for two new Service Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Quoting services that are coming in, once given the go ahead completing the service/calibration and repair if required in a timely and professional manner.
• Quote and assess portable gas analysers along with other test and measurement equipment that is coming in for service and repairs.
• Assisting the service, calibration and any other repairs that are required to equipment
• Assisting with stock control, ensuring that all consumables and spare equipment is available to carry out servicing and repairs.
• General housekeeping duties to keep the service areas clean and tidy
• Other ad-hoc duties as and when required
• Ability to problem solve/fault find, using own initiative and communicate effectively.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within a test and measurement equipment role or working within electronics.
• Confident using SAGE and other systems.
• Experience working towards deadlines

Essential Qualifications/Experience

• G.C.S.E English & Maths or equivalent
