Job summary

Electroserv, a leader in calibration services for five decades, seeks a Field Calibration Technician to join the UK field service team. You will calibrate and service process instrumentation at client sites, building strong relationships and ensuring high-quality reports.

Ideal candidates have instrumentation calibration experience across industries, CCNSG and CompEx, a full driving license, and the ability to work independently and with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Field calibration experience across process instrumentation.
• Experience building client relationships on site.
• Instruments calibration service and repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Field based UK calibration and repair of process instrumentation.
• Build relationships with clients on site and generate service reports.

Field Calibration Technician – Reading region

Role Overview

This position sits within the field service team and offers a great opportunity for a field calibration technician to join a growing, market leading company selling and providing service of sophisticated process instrumentation for high profile customers in all industries.

Applicants based within an hour commute from Electroserv’s second office in Bramley, RG26 would be favourable due to the client base. However, the role will be field based.

• A salary package of £32,000-£42,000 per annum (dependant on experience).

Responsibilities

• Field based covering the UK.
• Occasional trips covering the whole of Great Britain and the Continent.
• Calibration service and repair on process instrumentation.
• Building relationships with clients on site.
• Carry out field and workshop calibrations.
• Raising Service reports and Test Certificates.
• 50% Field – 50% Workshop/office.
• Must have Instrumentation calibration experience in one or more of the following sectors – chemical, life sciences, power, food, steel, water, wastewater, paper, oil & gas, petrochemical.
• Driving licence.
• To be highly self-motivated and can work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
• A flexible approach to working activities.
• Excellent Communication skills, both verbally and written.
• An ability to develop good working relationships with customers.
• Good organisational skills.
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping.
• Field experience / customer facing experience.
• CCNSG Card.
• CompEx 1-4 / 1-6.
• Worked within process and/or petrochemical environments.
• Electrical and controls knowledge.
• Profibus knowledge.
• UKAS knowledge.

Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level preferably in Electronics or instrumentation and control.
