Marshall BYD Canterbury is hiring a skilled Service Technician to join the busy aftersales team. The role offers a strong salary package (£37,895 basic, £43,895+ OTE) with 25 days holiday and a pension, plus life assurance and exclusive perks.

Work is full-time, 45 hours per week, including weekends on a rota, with manufacturer training and clear progression routes within Marshall. A supportive, modern workshop environment awaits the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (IMI/City & Guilds or equivalent) is required.
• Experience as Service Technician/Mechanic preferred, with warranty/servicing exposure.
• MOT Licence is a plus; training provided if not yet qualified.

Responsabilités

• Carry out servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including diagnostics, warranty and repairs.
• Perform maintenance tasks from oil changes to cambelt changes with accurate write-ups and job cards.
• Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) in line with Marshall standards.

In this role:

• You’ll carry out servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.
• You’ll handle a variety of vehicle maintenance tasks, from oil changes to cambelt changes, supported by digital write‑ups and job card completion.
• You’ll conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) in line with Marshall standards.

We're looking for:

• Someone with a recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Someone with previous experience as a Service Technician/Mechanic, ideally with exposure to both warranty and servicing work.
• Someone with strong teamwork skills, who follows process and upholds high standards of safety and quality.
• Someone with a MOT Licence is a plus – full training can be provided if not yet qualified.
• Most importantly, someone eager to learn as this role will test you, but also help you develop and progress within your Mechanic careers with our manufacturer accreditation training.
