Job summary

Protyre Autocare is seeking a motivated Vehicle Technician to join our expanding team. You will service and repair vehicles using the latest diagnostic tools and equipment, ensuring high standards and safety at all times.

The role includes fast-fit tyre fitting, brake and suspension work, and carrying out MOT repairs in a busy centre. Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in the Automotive sector and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent automotive qualification.
• Experience with mechanical and fast-fit repairs including tyre fitting, brakes, suspension.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard.
• Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst using an alignment machine and interpreting readings for adjustments.
• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical components.
• Carrying out MOT repairs.
• Adherence to company vehicle inspection procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to ensure thorough diagnostics, testing and repairs.
• Advise on issues vehicles display and timelines for future repair needs.
• Work safely and comply with health & safety regulations.

Must have:Full current UK Driving Licence is required for this role, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application).

About the role:

Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard

Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments

Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical products

Carrying out MOT repairs

Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process

Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality

Advise on other issues vehicles display, including common issues vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs

Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations

About you:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry

Experienced with mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing repairs to a wide range of vehicles

The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Experience with diagnostic equipment

Full UK Driving Licence
