Job summary

Honeywell Hymatic in Redditch is seeking a Service & Repair Technician to strip, inspect, assemble and test complex hydraulic manifolds, reading drawings and test specifications while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in everything you do.

The role provides 37 hours per week: Mon to Thu 08:00–17:00, Fri 08:00–12:00, with overtime paid at a premium for additional hours. Full right to work in the UK and a Level 3 mechanical engineering qualification (or equivalent) are required.

Qualifications

• Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) or relevant experience with high-pressure systems.
• Excel – Formula, lookups
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package, especially data handling in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test and/or inspect components, or products in accordance with drawings or other specification requirements
• Work effectively as an individual or as a team member to achieve the required quality, delivery and cost performance necessary to enable the business to satisfy customer orders
• Maintain full records for each part of the process you are involved in
• On completion of the product testing, assist the team to determine the success of the test
• If testing has failed, your role would include being able to aid in the diagnosis of failure modes, potentially related to the test equipment or the product, and identify next steps

Job title: Service & Repair Technician Role Type: Full-time permanent Location & Hours: Redditch As a Service & Repair Technician at Honeywell, in Redditch, you will be responsible for the strip, inspection, assembly and testing of complex hydraulic manifolds, reading technical drawings & test specifications, understanding the requirements and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in everything you do. This role is available due to internal promotion. This position will be working at Honeywell Hymatic in Redditch, who are celebrating 88 years of trading this year. Our working hours (total 37 hours per week) are: Mon to Thu 0800-1700 Fri 0800-1200. This role is also eligible for overtime paid at a premium rate should you be willing to work additional hours.
