Job summary

A M Phillip Trucktech Ltd. is seeking an enthusiastic, customer‑focused Service Desk Advisor to join our busy vehicle workshop team in Scotland.

The role suits someone with experience in a service‑driven environment and a passion for excellent customer service. You will handle customer enquiries, book vehicles into the workshop, explain repair steps, obtain order numbers, upsell where appropriate and support call handling.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service advisor or similar role preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Team player with interpersonal skills and reliability.
• Organised and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work IT systems is essential.
• A valid driver’s licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries in person or by phone.
• Book vehicles into the workshop and mobile service vans.
• Explain the repair process to customers as required.
• Obtain order numbers from customers/lease companies as needed.
• Upsell additional products and services when appropriate.
• Manage call handling and general enquiries.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team at the service desk of our busy vehicle workshop.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, ideally within a commercial vehicle environment. Good organisation skills and someone up for a challenge.

Knowledge of our Data Management System, CDK/Keyloop would be an advantage, though not essential, as full training will be provided.

THE ROLE

• Dealing with customer enquires either in person or via the telephone.
• Booking in vehicles to the workshop and mobile service vans.
• Explaining the repair process as required.
• Obtaining order numbers from customers/lease companies when required.
• Selling additional products and services when required.
• Call Handling and dealing with general enquires.

THE PERSON

• Ideally, Previous experience in a service advisor or similar role.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Team player and great interpersonal skills.
• A reliable and committed individual.
• Organised and able to multitask in a fast pace working environment.
• Ability to work IT systems is a must.
• A valid driver’s licence is preferred.
