Job summary

Sécheron Hasler Group in Manchester is seeking a dynamic Service Operator to set up test equipment, prepare products for testing and repair, and contribute to high-quality service documentation. You will carry out routine servicing of safety-critical rail equipment, record data on electronic job cards, and support warehouse activities while following health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up test equipment and preparing products for testing and repair.
  • Collecting and recording incoming product and repair data on electronic job cards.
  • Carrying out routine servicing of safety-critical rail equipment using hand tools and diagnostic software.
  • Supporting the overhaul and repair of electro-mechanical equipment to a high quality standard.
  • Carrying out routine testing using diagnostic and test software.
  • Completing repair, test and service documentation accurately and to a high standard.
  • Supporting general warehouse activities.
  • Carrying out basic administrative tasks related to the service and repair process.
  • Following established processes, quality standards and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by suggesting improvements to processes and working methods.

Main Tasks
  • Setting up test equipment and preparing products for testing and repair.
