Job summary

HaslerRail AG in Manchester is seeking a dynamic Service Operator to support testing, repair and servicing of safety-critical rail equipment. You will set up test equipment, record data, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvements while following Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Interest in engineering, electronics or technical work.
  • Hands-on and practical approach.
  • Good computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
  • Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up test equipment and preparing products for testing and repair.
  • Collecting and recording incoming product and repair data on electronic job cards.
  • Carrying out routine servicing of safety-critical rail equipment using hand tools and diagnostic software.
  • Supporting the overhaul and repair of electro-mechanical equipment to a high quality standard.
  • Carrying out routine testing using diagnostic and test software.
  • Completing repair, test and service documentation accurately and to a high standard.
  • Supporting general warehouse activities.
  • Carrying out basic administrative tasks related to the service and repair process.
  • Following established processes, quality standards and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by suggesting improvements to processes and working methods.
