Your Impact
You will manage two supported living services in Gateshead, leading a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will step in to ensure individuals are safe, socially included, and actively developing their independent living skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead & Mentor: Manage your support worker team, overseeing rotas, performance, and regular training.
On-Call Support: Participate in the local on-call rota to provide telephone advice or emergency cover outside of standard hours.
Maintain Compliance: Ensure the York service meets all regulatory standards and strict health and safety protocols.
Build Relationships: Collaborate closely with the residents' families, advocates, social workers, and healthcare professionals.
Person-Centred Support: Oversee dynamic support plans tailored to each individual's choices and well-being.
What We Are Looking For:
Social Care Experience: Proven background supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs.
Leadership Skills: Experience managing teams, writing rotas, and handling service admin.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly and share out-of-hours on-call responsibilities.
Sector Knowledge: Experience Supported Living and Learning Disability, as well as f amiliarity with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) frameworks.
Compliance Checks: Appointment is subject to a clear, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
