We're looking for a Service Manager to join our Safestop and Burnage Lane services in Manchester on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to lead two established supported accommodation services for young people aged 18-25 who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. You'll play a vital role in ensuring young people receive the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to develop resilience, gain independence, and achieve their goals.
As Service Manager, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team and oversee the delivery of high-quality, psychologically informed, and person-centred support. Working closely with colleagues, local authorities, commissioners, and partner agencies, you'll ensure services remain safe, effective, and responsive to the needs of young people.
This role offers the opportunity to:
Lead two impactful accommodation services supporting young people facing homelessness and multiple disadvantages.
Develop and motivate a committed team to deliver exceptional support and positive outcomes.
Drive service quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Build strong partnerships with local stakeholders and external agencies.
Make a lasting difference to the lives of young people at a critical stage in their journey towards independence.
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
Experience leading teams and managing support services.
Experience working with people facing homelessness, complex needs, mental health challenges, or social disadvantage.
Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, support planning, and housing-related support.
Strong partnership-working and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing service performance, budgets, resources, and compliance requirements.
A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and delivering person-centred services.
At Depaul UK, we believe in the potential of every person and the power of positive relationships to create lasting change. This role offers the opportunity to lead services that help young people build safer, more stable futures while developing your own leadership experience within a supportive and values-driven organisation.
If you're motivated by purpose, thrive on leading people and services, and want to join an organisation where your contribution truly matters, we'd love to hear from you. In return, you'll benefit from excellent learning and development opportunities, supportive leadership, a competitive benefits package, and the chance to make a genuine impact on the lives of young people across Manchester.
